The Hurley and Spring Lake Fire Departments held rescue training on the ice at Williams Lake on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Ice rescue training activities have been hosted at the lake for many years, a tradition started by the Williams family. The Bloomington Fire Department also uses the property for ongoing search-and-rescue training exercises, and the lake water is made available as a back-up water supply. We are happy to announce that on Monday, January 27, 2014, the Williams Lake Project (WLP), in partnership with Rondout-Esopus Land Conservancy, Inc. On Wednesday, December 4th, 2013, the Rosendale Town Board voted to approve the Williams Lake Project Master plan. The Williams Lake Project is now able to move forward with our plans for demolition and infrastructure development to begin in 2014.
